God's Creation
Amy loved to learn. She was in the fourth grade at Thomas elementary school. Her favorite subjects were history and science. She knew all the presidents of the United States and knew all the planets in the Solar System She had a big map of the world on the wall next to her bed. Each night, before she said her prayers she would point to a different country. Her dream was to visit every country in the world when she got older. At church, she loved going to Sunday school; she asked lots of questions, if the teacher didn’t know the answers, she would take Amy to talk with the preacher after church. He almost always knew the answers to her questions, and would show her in the Bible where they came from.
One day in science class, her teacher told the class they were going to be studying about creation. Amy was excited because they had just studied about creation in Sunday school a few weeks before. The teacher told the class about how the earth evolved from the big bang. Amy dropped her pencil. She raised her hand and tried to ask a question but her teacher said there was not enough time to explain everything. Amy went home that night and talked to her mother about what had happened. Her mother agreed the teacher was in fact wrong, but told Amy that there were still people who refused to believe the Bible contained all the answers to the world’s questions. Amy slipped her Bible in back pack and pulled it out before Science class began. When the teacherasked the kids to turn to the chapter about creation, Amy took her Bible out and placed it next to her Science book. Sometimes her teacher would let them take turns reading aloud. She called on Amy to read the first paragraph.
Amy read aloud:
Genesis
1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
The Moral of the story…Unleashed:
Genesis1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
God’s Word supplies every answer to every question we have. The world is full of false
truths. In order for us to understand creation, we must look at Genesis in
the Bible where God tells us He created all things.
